Disposable bilirubin adsorption column

DX series disposable bilirubin adsorption column (hereinafter referred to as DX adsorption column) uses plasma separator and blood purification support system to draw the patient's blood out of the body, separate the plasma through the plasma separator and carry out plasma adsorption to remove bilirubin from the patient's body and achieve the therapeutic purpose of blood purification.

1.The main structure

This product uses ion exchange resin as adsorbent, and the container material is made of polycarbonate and other medical grade materials, with filters at both ends.

2.Product Mechanism

The adsorption performance of the product stems from the interaction between the negative charge on the carboxyl group of bilirubin and the positive charge on the quaternary ammonium salt of the anion exchange resin.　
 

3. Product indications　

This product is used to adsorb bilirubin in plasma, and is suitable for the treatment of liver diseases such as fulminant hepatitis, postoperative liver failure, primary biliary cirrhosis and hyperbilirubinemia caused by various diseases.　
 

4. Precautions

This product should be used under the guidance of a physician familiar with the patient's condition. This product is used to process blood plasma. Because direct contact between blood and this product can lead to serious consequences, the use of this product for blood perfusion is strictly prohibited.

To avoid contamination, remove this product from the sterilized bag at the time of use and use immediately after pre-flushing.

The product is filled with liquid, and make sure that the liquid does not freeze. If the liquid appears to freeze, do not use it even after the liquid has melted.

It is important to remove air bubbles from the blood line and ensure that the extracorporeal circulation connection is free of any leaks before use.

This product must be pre-flushed before use. Once abnormal conditions such as turbidity or floating objects are found in the outflowing liquid during pre-flushing, it is prohibited to use it.

Arterial and venous pressures should be monitored during treatment.

During the treatment, when chills, nausea, vomiting, headache, chest tightness, abdominal pain, pale complexion and difficulty in breathing occur, please ensure the patient's safety immediately and take appropriate measures according to the doctor's instructions.

When treating and returning blood, pay attention that air cannot enter the patient's body. Once found, the treatment should be terminated immediately.

The blood flow and treatment time used by this product should be set according to the patient's state; in order to avoid symptoms such as blood pressure drop, the plasma flow rate should be less than 30% of the blood flow rate.

Dispose and destroy used products and blood lines in strict accordance with the relevant regulations on medical waste.

　　5. Contraindications

　　There are no absolute contraindications. Severe electrolyte imbalance, severe thrombocytopenia, cytopenia or other coagulation disorders should be used with caution.
